Abstract

This study investigates business model innovation in China's cultural heritage sector, with a particular focus on the commercialization of intellectual property (IP) and organizational governance. Over recent decades, the integration of cultural heritage into market-oriented practices has created both opportunities and challenges for cultural organizations seeking to balance preservation with economic value creation. By examining emerging business models, current approaches to IP commercialization, and supporting governance mechanisms, this research provides insights into the effective management of cultural assets in a complex legal and regulatory environment. The study highlights how strategic IP management and organizational innovation can enhance the economic potential of cultural heritage resources while ensuring their long-term protection, offering both theoretical and practical guidance for stakeholders in the industry.
